Name: Frederick “Fritz” Donald Schierl
Early Life: As a young wrestler, Frederick Donald Schierl attended Stevens Point Area High School (SPASH), before going on to attend The Ohio State University (OSU) where he earned 72 collegiate wins as he wrestled there for six years. While a student at OSU, Schierl studied family and consumer financial services, with a minor in
integrative medicine, and then went on to get his master’s degree in sports coaching.
Professional Career: Schierl was a 3-time Wisconsin state champion in freestyle wrestling and a 2-time Wisconsin state champion in Greco Roman wrestling.
Schierl was named a 2-time U23 World Team Trials finalist, 3-time Fargo All-American, and 2-time Senior Nationals All-American. He also earned a bronze medal at the Bill Farell, New York, Memorial International Tournament.
Outside of wrestling: Schierl currently works as an Accounting Manager/Property Manager and enjoys biking, hiking, and waterskiing. He was voted “Best Dancer” among his peers in high school and will always default to speedos as his swimwear of choice.
